Meet our Team of Speakers at Chatter Buzz Media
A co-founder of Chatter Buzz Media, Shalyn Dever has been working in website development and social media for over a decade. She utilized all of the latest technology she had at her fingertips and simultaneously managed million-dollar programs for international engineering corporations. She has both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, plus an MBA. She has owned Florida Website Design and SEO since 2006. Over the years, Dever’s experience and consulting skills have serviced both small and large business, including—but not limited to—Fortune 500 companies such as Rockwell Collins, DRS (owned by Finmeccanica), General Electric, Lockheed Martin, Packaging Corporation for America, Subway, and many more. Dever was honored when she received the Readers Choice Award for Web Design in 2009 and won the Best of the Web Award 2012 for the Orange County, FL Government website. Although she had been recruited by Google and was offered a position within the company, Dever decided to pursue her dream of being an entrepreneur instead.
ASHLEY CISNEROS MEJIA
An entrepreneurial journalist and also co-founder of Chatter Buzz Media, Ashley Cisneros Mejia has first-hand knowledge on how social networking can empower people and help them build their businesses. She was a former reporter for various newspapers, a magazine editor, tech writer, marketing manager, and public relations practitioner. When a close friend was diagnosed with breast cancer, discovered she was to be a first-time mom, and subsequently lost her job, Mejia utilized the power of social media and sparked a national grassroots volunteer effort. The campaign resulted in raising more than $20,000 to help fund her friend’s cancer treatment. Mejia’s writing has appeared in USA Today, the Chicago Tribune, and the Los Angeles Times, which were among a plethora of other publications. She was named Outstanding Young Leader by La Prensa Newspaper, a Woman to Watch, and one of Orlando’s 40 Under 40 by The Orlando Business Journal. She has won a national business competition and received a $10,000 business grant from UNITY Journalists. The Women’s Executive Council of Orlando also honored her with an Achievement Award in Communications and Media. Mejia earned a B.S. in Journalism and an M.S. in Entrepreneurship at the University of Florida.
As the manager of client campaigns through integrated marketing and strategic communication campaigns, Dianna Romaguera brings a vast amount of experience to the table at Chatter Buzz Media. She has managed large-scale events, directed promotional campaigns, and marketed brands in hyper-local markets. She executed such campaigns alongside multicultural events for well-known and respected brands such as Target, Heineken, Bacardi, US Army, and Coca-Cola. Throughout her career, she resided in both New York City and the Metro Washington, D.C. area. Now, her life’s adventures brought her back to her hometown of Orlando, Florida. As part of the team, she doesn’t let deadlines or the high demands of her job derail her efforts. Instead, she actively seeks new tasks to be involved with and manage. Romaguera attended the University of South Florida, which is where she earned a degree in Communications, and became a proud Bull.
