THE CHALLENGE

While Comtech Systems was already established as an industry leader in troposcatter technologies, their website and marketing collateral was outdated and reduced Comtech’s professional credibility. The team at Chatter Buzz Media was tasked with updating Comtech’s appearance to elevate their image as a leading technology authority and industry partner. This would give them a more professional appearance when meeting with prospective clients for multi-million dollar deals.

OUR GOALS

Our goals were to modernize the Comtech website through streamlining their available content and navigation. Update marketing collateral for industry tradeshows and prospective client meetings and elevate the Comtech brand overall to highlight their status as industry leaders in digital troposcatter systems.

WEB DESIGN

The web team sought to improve the user experience through condensing content and streamlining navigation. The old website provided users with a multitude of options as to where to go next from each web page. This created a complex site map that the web team condensed to clearly guide users through who Comtech was, what their product offerings were and why they were superior to competitors. In addition, the website was developed to be mobile responsive to allow for easy content consumption across mobile and tablet devices.

Branding

Marketing materials were produced to support tradeshows, sales meetings, brand awareness and public relations efforts. Using the new brand look and feel, the Chatter Buzz design team created a media kit, flyers, brochures, business cards, datasheets and posters. The team also redesigned the Comtech logo to update the brand’s appearance. Part of the update included the addition of a tagline, “The World Leader in Digital Troposcatter Systems”

THE RESULTS

The updated branding for Comtech Systems helped to unify all of their marketing collateral and elevate their professional image as an authority in digital troposcatter systems. The addition of the tagline to the logo succinctly summarized Comtech’s brand positioning, which was then reiterated across all marketing materials.

The improved content experience on Comtech’s website helped to better highlight their business, product offerings and expertise. The visual website improvements made Comtech appear more professional and as a company who is familiar with the industries latest technology. The simplified user navigation took away the clutter from the previous website and streamlined the conversion process. While contact information was previously buried, the new website highlighted this and better guided users to convert to a sales lead.
